Ride For A Cause

The 3rd annual 3DD/Better Life Foundation “Ride for a Cause” took place November 17th in Tunica, MS and was a huge amount of fun. The ride (promoted by the Dixie Thunder Run) started Saturday morning at Southern Thunder Harley Davidson in South Haven, MS, and ended at the Roadhouse Casino in Tunica. This was followed by a lunch/social which included an awards ceremony. Great food and people equaled a great time.

The day was closed out at the Horseshoe Casino next door with a concert. The show was opened by Anna Morgan, was followed by Daughtry, and closed out with 3 Doors Down. Talk about a full evening. I’ll definitely attend again next year.

The mission of the Better Life Foundation is to make a positive change in the lives of children in need of food, shelter, and medical assistance, an...

ZZ Top

(from our valley events) ZZ TOP a/k/a “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas,” lays undisputed claim to being the longest running major rock band with original personnel intact after more than 40 years of rock, blues, and boogie on the road and in the studio. Hits like “La Grange,” “Tush,” “Gimme All Your Lovin’, “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Legs,” have made ZZ Top music instantly recognizable, eminently powerful, profoundly soulful and 100% Texas American.
As genuine roots musicians, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Frank Beard have few peers. Billy is widely regarded as one of American finest blues guitarists working in the rock idiom...

Rocket Harley Bike Night 12 April 2012

Thursday night at Knuckleheads in Madison, Alabama saw another great bike night sponsored by Rocket Harley of Madison. The band, Seducing Alice, was rocking those attending.

The bike nights at Knuckleheads are always a good time. It is difficult to write anything that hasn’t already been said. The bands are great, the food is great, and Rocket Harley makes sure there is fun. The servers at Knuckleheads are fantastic.

The one area we haven’t reported enough on has been the unsung heroes of Knuckleheads, the cooks and prep folks working in the kitchen. They bust their humps and take pride in ensuring your food is to your liking. Thanks to them, I am not going to waste away anytime soon.

Sam from Rocket Harley came out and introduced the band, made announcements and then visited tables and...

Rocket Harley Davidson Super Saturday 7 April 2012

Rocket H-D

Rocket H-DRocket Harley Davidson (H-D) hosted their Super Saturday event on the 7th of April and they couldn’t have planned the weather any better than if they had the ability to. The morning started off sunny and cool building to a high of 72 degrees. When you have an event where food and great music are paired with cool motorcycles and the Dixie Derby Girls, having great weather is icing on the cake.

The Super Saturday event was held at the Rocket H-D store which is very convenient to get to from Huntsville and Madison also convenient for anyone coming from Birmingham or Nashville. Getting to Rocket H-D is as simple as getting on Interstate 565 (i-565)...

Knuckleheads Bike Night 29 March 2012

JD and the Bad Boys

The first Bike night of 2012 for Knuckleheads Sports Bar and Restaurant in Madison, AL was well attended and the JD and the Bad Boys band was rocking the crowd out on the patio. Knuckleheads has been bringing in some of the best bands in the area for their Bike Nights and other evening events they arrange. You just never know what the next great band to entertain the crowd is going to be but I’ve never been disappointed by the quality of musical talent they’ve selected.  I’m looking forward to seeing if the next Bike Night Band can deliver as good a performance as JD and the Bad Boys did. The weather was perfect for sitting out, having a drink with your friends, making new friends and listening to one great rock band.

A bunch of cool motorcycles occupied the parkin...
